I have been taking photos for 40 years.  It has always given me great pleasure.  I have been lucky enough to travel quite a bit with my camera at my side.
I've used a long list of camera's.  In digital times I have gone from a Casio QV-3500EX (2000-2004) to a Minolta Dimage A200 (2004-2015) to a Panasonic Lumix FZ100 (2015 to present).  I prefer a high quality bridge camera with a large sensor to a SLR with separate lenses.  I have also worked through an iPhone 3GS, 5, 6 and now 7.  I have my eye on an iPhone 11 Pro!
I don't have a specialism but have always been drawn to abstract shapes and their colours as well as mountains, water, trees and clouds.
For me photography is mainly a search for beauty.  It is about getting in the right place at the right time to get a great composition with the best lighting and colours.
I enjoy following photographers from Ansel Adams and Cartier Bresson to Charlie Waite, David Noton and Martin Parr.
From the many thousands of photos I have taken I would like to share a few that I especially like.  I hope you enjoy them!
